I still remember how the first Jollibee store opened in my hometown. I grew up in Ormoc City in Leyte and we only had the first Chicken Joy from the neighborhood in 2000. I was still in grade school then. It was such a huge town event that Jollibee became more popular than our very own local celebrity, Lucy Torres. True story.
Fast forward to 17 years later, and after my city saw the rise of three Jollibee stores, the fastfood chain opens its 1000th store. Of all places, it opened in the progressive The Fort Bonifacio, specifically in the middle of the green urban space of Triangle Drive.
From starting with a modest ice cream parlor in Cubao in 1970’s, Jollibee’s 1000th store features the latest modern tropical design concept that’s expected to appeal to customers of all ages. It has a seating capacity of 350 people and two (2) spacious and beautifully-decorated party areas that give-off a hip and refreshing vibe with colorful sets of furnitures.
Of course, Jollibee is expected to be lavish on the celebration of their 1,000 store. It will be a month-long celebration which would feature its top endorders like James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, Julia Barreto and Jodi Sta. Maria among others, and with promos like Libreng Sakay and Grab promos.
